Edge Beveler Size Chart
Edge Beveler Size Chart
This edge beveler size chart is the shortest path to the right tool. An edge beveler does one quiet thing: it softens the sharp corner of a leather edge into a round, finished line. The size you need follows the leather you work with — thinner leather, smaller number.
The Sizes
| Size | Cut width |
|---|---|
| #00 | 0.2 mm |
| #00+ | 0.3 mm |
| #0 | 0.4 mm |
| #0+ | 0.5 mm |
| #1 | 0.7 mm |
| #1+ | 1.0 mm |
| #2 | 1.2 mm |
| #3 | 1.5 mm |
How to Choose
As a starting point, let the work decide.
Fine work, thin leather. Linings, card slots, small goods — reach for the smaller numbers, #00 through #1. They take off just enough to leave a crisp, delicate round.
Everyday work. Wallets, bags, belts — the middle of the range, #1 through #2, is where most makers live.
Heavy work. Thick straps and stout hides ask for #3. It removes the corner in one confident pass.
When in doubt, choose the smaller size. You can always take one more pass; you can't put leather back.
One Workshop, One Standard
Every Palosanto beveler is made by one pair of hands in Korea. The blades are HSS-M2, hardened to hold their edge. If the edge ever fades, resharpening is free — for the life of the tool.

The right size is the one you stop thinking about.
